WOMEN+ HEALTH
The Opportunity
Women+— a term we use to encompass the full spectrum of health needs experienced by cisgender women, as well as others whose health needs relate to those of cisgender women but may identify as transgender or nonbinary—face significant health inequities. Despite comprising over half of the U.S. population and driving higher healthcare expenditures than men, women+ often experience systemic biases, worse health outcomes, and barriers to equitable care. Disparities abound among women+ as well; Black women, for example, are 2.6 times more likely to die from childbirth-related causes than white women. Data gaps in health research further perpetuate these disparities.
Digital health solutions offer immense potential to bridge these gaps by improving access, affordability, and outcomes. Yet, investment in tailored solutions to manage certain health conditions lags behind.
Our Role
Through cross-sector collaboration and catalyzing new digital health solutions, RockHealth.org seeks to drive systemic change and ensure women+ have the tools, access, and representation needed for better health outcomes.
We actively engage leaders across healthcare, technology, and investment sectors to ensure our Women+ Health Initiative is informed by diverse perspectives and grounded in solving real-world challenges, fostering innovations that address systemic inequities and improve health outcomes.
