ADVANCING HEALTH EQUITY INNOVATION IN DIGITAL HEALTH
RockHealth.org’s Advancing Health Equity Innovation in Digital Health Initiative seeks to expand the knowledge base for digital health products, services, and spaces that reach overlooked and underserved populations. We invite you to join us as we work to ensure an equitable digital health future for all. To learn more about this work, please reach out to us at hello@rockhealth.org.
Our Approach
Over the last decade, the reach and influence of digital health have risen exponentially. Still, opportunities remain to better deliver on the full potential to reach all individuals equitably regardless of age, race, geography, and ability. When examining who and what has historically been funded, it’s clear that digital health innovations are not presently positioned to impact the lives of all.
In collaboration with various field experts—including entrepreneurs, investors, enterprise leaders, ecosystem builders, and philanthropic funders—RockHealth.org in collaboration with the SCAN Foundation and Tulsa Innovation Labs aims to:
- Clarify digital health’s underutilized potential as a positive determinant of health for underserved and overlooked populations
- Establish common language and metrics for the digital health ecosystem to advance innovation approaches that reach increasingly diverse end-user populations
- Highlight high-need and presently underserved end-user populations poised to benefit from digital health innovation e.g., communities of color, rural communities, Medicaid recipients, aging populations, caregivers, etc.)
- Elevate proof points for innovators to understand potential solutions to advance health equity innovation within digital health
- Recommend guidance to digital health investors, buyers, and partnering organizations to support their understanding and assessment of digital health ventures with a health equity focus
